Kia says the EV9 has been named Cars.com’s Best Electric Vehicle for a second consecutive year. The judges considered more than range, including charging performance, cabin space, technology and day-to-day usability.
The current EV9 combines three-row seating with an 800-volt architecture. Kia quotes a 10-to-80 percent charge in under 25 minutes on a 350 kW charger, while different battery and drivetrain choices allow the SUV to serve different use cases.
The result illustrates how Korean manufacturers are trying to make a large electric SUV a practical family product rather than a niche technology showcase. For rental fleets, charging access and downtime economics remain just as important as the specification sheet.
